INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
This software for Personnel Information Management System
(PIMS) has been developed keeping the requirement of a large
department with offices at dispersed location in view. It
consists of a number of modules such as personal information,
recruitment, transfer & promotion, pay salary &
disbursement, leaves record, training and departmental examination,
reviews, retirement benefits, and so on.
The software was initially
developed and successfully deployed for PWD, Maharashtra
and later in the Treasury. It is highly customizable for
other similar departments or organizational applications.
The application enables to rid all cash transactions involved
at Octroi posts. In turn, credit account of the transporters
or their lump sum deposit is used for debiting the Octroi.
Sometimes where required, bank drafts are given for the
value of Octroi to be collected. All Octroi posts are linked
with the Head Office for reconciliation of accounts. The
whole process minimizes delays and hassles otherwise encountered
by the transporters at the posts. This multi-user application
also permits trend analysis and preparation of defaulter
list, etc. to be prepared regularly.
The system has been implemented
at Nashik Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra State, linking
their seventeen Octroi posts.

The volatile nature of the stock exchange needs to be at
all times, closely monitored. In such a dynamic situation,
the investors' interests can be safeguarded if they have
the right tools to compare and analyze data of the capital
market and the companies, which are a part of this market.
With a view to analyze these movements and allow investors
to make sound and safe investments, C-DAC has developed
a Portfolio Management Solution.
ELECTORAL ROLLS FOR ELECTION COMMISSION
The voter's list in a State in the form of electoral rolls
is regularly prepared and updated. It involves immense amount
of data to be handled, besides its accuracy and timely availability.
A project on preparation
of integrated electoral rolls with updated entries was successfully
completed as per the guidelines of the Election Commission
of India, for the Maharashtra State. This covers all 48
Lok Sabha and 288 Assembly constituencies with 5.23 crore

In an agro-based economy, collection and distribution of
seeds is an important activity. The process typically involves
receiving raw seeds from various farmers, their grading,
testing and treatment, certification, packaging, billing
and dispatch. These functions are executed by State Seed
Corporations at their various processing plants.
An information system suitably
designed and implemented would ensure proper farmer satisfaction
through prompt diagnostic services, effective administration,
cost control, and improved testing and delivery services
A project on these lines
for computerization of activities of the Maharashtra State
Seed Corporation Ltd. was executed successfully. The application
software developed comprised of eight different modules
covering various functionalities.

of considerable help in productivity of laboratory functions.

executed and commissioned for the Central Power Research
Institute, Bangalore, catering to all these functions.
