As part of the Digital Library for Indian Heritage project sponsored by the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India, C-DAC undertook the task of digitization and presentation of the Dnyaneshwari using multimedia technology.

C-DAC's National Multimedia Resource Centre (HCDC) has been engaged in the multimedia authoring, editing of musical recitation, text entry and integration of the contents of Dnyaneshwari for the last 3 years. C-DAC integrated both the volumes of CD Title, which include 18 Chapters of Dnyaneshwari and Bhagvadgita. Yashodhan Publication, Alandi.

The CDs include translation and Musical Recitation with accurate pronunciations of Marathi and Sanskrit Verses by Sri Sakhare Maharaj. The text is displayed in specially designed Devnagari fonts. The user is able to read the text and listen to the recitation of verses for every page of Dnyaneshwari. The user is able to play the CD in Auto mode wherein the pages turn automatically and the recitation continues. It is possible to browse through the Bhagvadgita and Dnyaneshwari in a selective or integrated manner. A user can jump directly to any Chapter and Shloka or Ovi. The users will benefit by the features of multiple bookmarks and annotations provided in the CD. Using multimedia over 40 metaphoric verses are visualized and rendered from the first chapter of Dnyaneshwari. All the contents are presented with a very attractive User Interface.

As many as 24 interactive maps are designed for every chapter of Bhagvadgita through which one is able to understand the structure of the information and access it selectively. The CD can be viewed on any standard multimedia PC.
